Caring for Carcinoid Foundation

The mission of the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation is to discover a cure for carcinoid.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans may be walking around with a deadly form of cancer and not know it. It is called carcinoid cancer. It is almost always fatal because it is generally diagnosed after it has metastasized.

No early diagnostic test or surveillance exists for carcinoid cancer. Doctors frequently misdiagnose its symptoms. Scientists understand little about this overlooked cancer. In contrast to other cancers, carcinoid is increasing in incidence and prevalence.

The mission of the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation (CFCF) is urgent. CFCF is the leading non-profit funder of cutting-edge research of carcinoid and related neuroendocrine cancers, including pancreatic endocrine cancer.

Research into carcinoid and neuroendocrine cancers will provide insight into other cancers and diseases including prostate cancer, diabetes, and cancer proliferation.

The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation is unique:
• CFCF directs 100% of all donations to cutting-edge research
• CFCF has awarded over $2 million in Research Grants
• CFCF funds an aggressive, collaborative Research Road Map & Action Plan
• CFCF holds an annual Research Symposium
• CFCF has a highly esteemed Board of Scientific Advisors
• CFCF provides up-to-date information to patients, doctors, and researchers.
